Magnetometry
Magnetometry investigates the earth’s magnetic field. Changes in the field give us information about the subsurface distribution of ferrimagnetic materials. Magnetometry offers many advantages including efficiency of data collection, non-invasiveness, and a more affordable way to locate higher resolution surveys.
Some Applications:
Locating buried metal objects
Lithology mapping
Mining
Environmental resource development
Contaminated site investigations
Archaeology
Landfill delineation
