Metal Detectors

Electromagnetic methods (EM) use electromagnetic induction to map electrical properties of the subsurface. These tools can map both magnetic and non-magnetic metals. Since there is no direct contact with the ground, data collection is quick, and EM is more tolerant of noise sources. We use the Geonics EM61-MK2A detector in our work.
